Divine Dance Academy is a Christian dancing school  providing instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and tumbling. DDA has been serving the Gonzales area since 1997. Students are taught to use their talent to bring glory and honor to God.  Our passion is to raise a standard through dance and  proclaim the message of Jesus.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

MY STORY…

There was a time in my life when I did not feel the light of God shining on me and I knew my heart was not right. I was very far from God and I didn\u2019t think he loved me. One day my life was forever changed\u2026 On April 21, 1988, I was involved in an auto accident, as a result of a drunk driver. Both of my legs were fractured and my aorta was ruptured. My heart trauma was found 24 hours later and the doctors informed my family that I had 0% chance of survival, however, they would start surgery but did not think I would live 6 more hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had drifted away from God for seven years prior to my accident. I remember the doctor explaining to me that I had to have heart surgery. In my delirious state, I remember looking intently into the doctor\u2019s eyes and asking a quesion that I will never forget, \u201cCan you save me?\u201d The doctor shook his head no and said \u201cI\u2019m not sure\u201d as he walked away from me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that very moment, I knew I had been running away from God and living a life of sin and rebellion. The fear of facing a holy God with my sinful life was overwhelming. The doctor could not save me\u2026the priest that said the last rites to me could not save me\u2026my dad\u2019s pastor who prayed with me could not save me! Only Jesus can save! It is only by His blood. I cried out to God and asked Him to forgive me of all my sins and give me a second chance. I promised God that I would live for Him and I would never be the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My heart was changed physically and spiritually that day. I\u2019ll never forget when I came to consciousness in intensive care and I realized I had made it! I was not worthy of such grace. \u201cIt is no longer I that lives, but Christ that lives in me!\u201d The Lord spared my life and gave me a second chance. My doctor gave all glory to God and said it was a miracle and totally the hand of God. God completely restored my life and allowed me to dance again for His glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe you know your heart is not right and you want to feel the presence of God shining on your life. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through him. Don\u2019t put it off. We are not promised tomorrow, but the decisions we make today affect our eternity. Just say, \u201cFather, I repent of my sins and I ask Jesus to come into my heart and change me. Be my Lord and Savior. I believe Jesus died for me and he rose from the dead. Amen.\u201d Draw close to God and he will draw close to you. Now live for Jesus and let your light shine!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTherefore, I urge you, brothers in view of God\u2019s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship\u201d Romans 12:1<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
